Lodestar’s customer, a large producer of industrial gauges was faced with a high degree of scrap (>40%) from its current supplier of castings. Since most of the defects were identified only after significant processing was done which resulted in very high rejection costs.

Results

Lodestar’s solution enabled the customer to

• Lodestar developed a high quality provider of castings, which included developing and implementing quality systems resulting in a rejection rate of less than 5%.
• Lodestar produced castings not only were superior in quality but enabled customer to lower overall production cost and improve margins
